Here's What We Explored at Belong

When we founded Peakon five years ago, it was with the mission of providing the insights to help everyone in an organisation to reach their full potential.

Since then, we’ve gone from a team of two in Copenhagen to over 200 Peakons in five offices around the world. People often say to me that I must be proud of everything we’ve achieved in that time, but in truth, I’m most proud of what has been achieved by you, our customers.

That’s why, on 24th September 2019, we held our first Belong conference to celebrate your successes, and to help build a community of the best HR innovators in the world. I think our Chief Evangelist, Patrick Cournoyer, said it best:

“With Belong, we’re trying to bring a group of very passionate people together to understand how we can, as a community, create better, more effective places for employees to work and also to allow employees to have a more consistent voice. It’s about making organisations better.”

When we were crafting the agenda for the day, we thought about the pillars that make up a good community. Every great community encourages knowledge sharing (Insight), welcomes diversity (Inclusion) and inspires its members to go on to achieve great things (Inspiration).

Over the course of the day, we sought to bring our community under one roof to explore these themes together with our line-up of panellists and speakers. We heard from bestselling author David McCandless who showed us the beauty of data, and Capgemini’s Anouska Ramsay, who explained how the organisation harnesses the power of data, with over 200,000 employees providing feedback on a monthly basis.

We unveiled our latest data report, The Employee Voice, which analysed over 11 million employee comments to find out what they need from their employers.

We also deep dove into inclusion in a panel chaired by Leng Montgomery, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Cushman & Wakefield.

If you missed anything on the day, or weren’t able to attend, we’ll be sharing videos of our talks and panels in the coming weeks. Be sure to follow us on our Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Youtube channels to stay in the know.

Again, thank you  for making Belong a success. We couldn’t have done it without you — and we can’t wait to see you at the next one.
