Former Head of D&I at Monzo, and Global Ambassador for Women Who Code, brings enhanced diversity and inclusion expertise to Peakon, as the organisation continues on its mission to make work work for everyone.
COPENHAGEN, LONDON, AUCKLAND, BERLIN and NEW YORK (August 25, 2020, 9:00am BST) // Today Peakon – an employee success platform – reveals that global diversity and inclusion leader Sheree Atcheson will join its team from September 1st, 2020, in the newly created role of Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
The multi award-winning writer, ambassador and speaker, brings a wealth of experience to Peakon, with previous roles including Head of Diversity & Inclusion at online challenger bank Monzo, and Head of Consulting Inclusion at Big Four accounting firm Deloitte.
Sheree is listed as one of the UK’s Most Influential Women in Tech, and is the board appointed Global Ambassador of Women Who Code – a platform which passionately advocates for women being proportionally represented and excelling in technology careers.
Commenting on her appointment, Sheree Atcheson said: “I’m delighted to be joining Peakon – a tech company that partners with 1000+ organisations to improve the working lives of employees across the globe. It’s exciting to know that our work together will influence, educate and drive improved diversity, equity and inclusion in companies worldwide. I’ve already seen first-hand how dedicated Peakon is to this mission, and how much driving positive change really matters to everyone from the bottom to the top of the organisation.”
Peakon CEO and co-founder Phil Chambers added: “It’s fantastic to be welcoming Sheree to Peakon as our new Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Her experience will prove invaluable to us as we continue to empower all employees to drive positive change, expand our product portfolio to support our customers in building more inclusive and diverse workplaces, and carry on in our mission to make work work for people.”
Sheree’s responsibilities will include supporting Peakon in its own diversity, equity and inclusion journey, while supporting the organisation to help its 1000+ customers to do the same. This will be achieved in part through the further evolution of Peakon’s product portfolio, which is designed to help organisations build diverse and inclusive cultures through insights, training and actions.
Sheree is listed as one of the Most Influential Women in UK Tech, and is an international multi-award winner for her services to Diversity & Inclusion in the industry. She is currently the Board-Appointed Global Ambassador for Women Who Code, a Forbes contributor, and is writing a book for Kogan Page on Diversity and Inclusion – set to be released in Spring 2021.
For many years Sheree has worked with companies such as challenger bank Monzo and Big Four accountancy firm Deloitte to provide leadership and training to C-suite and leadership teams, and develop fully-formed, focused diversity and inclusion strategies.
As a passionate advocate for women joining and remaining in the tech industry, she launched and led the award-winning U.K. expansion of Women Who Code. In 2019, Sheree was named Queen’s University Belfast Graduate of the Year, and was included in the Financial Times’ Top 100 BAME Leaders influencing the tech sector.
